about
Scalar is a progressive metal band based in Israel.
Formed in 2016, the band has undergone several line-up changes, until the current line up was established in summer 2018.
The band’s musical style consists of different parts from the vast genre of metal, ranging from heavy, groovy riffs with harsh vocals, to ambient, spacey segments with beautiful harmonies.
The band has previously released a self-titled debut EP, a single - “Acceptance”, and have been working on their debut full-length album for the past two years, which will be out on December 15th on all platforms.
The album, “Painting Visions”, is a product of hard work, and it marks an evolutionary step in the band’s sound, writing, and lyrical themes.
Lyrically, the album addresses the internal and external struggles of every human, regarding mental changes, warfare, religion, and more.
'Unwind' is the second single off of 'Painting Visions'.
lyrics
Aglow, Stranded morbid suns
Infinite skies surrounding me
Painting visions of things we should have had
Ancient, I see it now
The fabric, The colors of space and time
(Pulling me up), Pulling me up
To see it
To breathe it
Lucid, unwind
Prove me wrong this time
Soon it will all come crashing down
I soar into the night
No fears in sight
I’m floating on solid ground
Painting pictures of the lives we should have led
Patience, I see it now
I can see it bend
Can’t lift my head
Sleeping yet awake
I’ve loosened my grip
I need to breath
I need to see
Lucid, unwind
Prove me wrong this time
Soon it will all come crashing down
You’ve got to elevate your mind
